Locum Speech Pathologist - Community Role | Regional Victoria $70-$80 per hour Super Accommodation Regional Victoria | Only 2 hours from Melbourne ASAP Start | 4-month minimum contract OR 6 month fixed term contract | Potential extension An exciting locum opportunity is available for a Speech Pathologist to join a supportive community allied health team in regional Victoria , working with older adults and people living with disability to maximise independence and safety at home. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a diverse community caseload while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The Role You will support clients to remain safe, independent and active in their own homes and local community . Responsibilities include: Working with frail aged clients and people living with disability to maximise independence Collaborating with clients, carers and families to develop practical solutions for safety at home Developing goals and care plans to support independence and wellbeing Managing a diverse caseload of health conditions, including progressive neurological disorders Delivering services primarily via home visits with some clinic appointments Working across HACC PYP, CHSP and occasional NDIS funding streams Supporting therapy programs alongside Allied Health Assistants Key Clinical Skills Adult dysphagia management Experience with Videofluoroscopy (VFSS) Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Community Speech Pathology experience Experience working with complex and progressive conditions Ideal Experience Experience in a community or home visiting role Strong care planning and goal setting skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience supporting older adults and people living with disability Requirements Degree in Speech Pathology SPA registration Australian Working Rights- Working Holiday Visa's Welcome!
